We are not sure how much he got, but he would eat until it was not physically possible anymore. He didn't get sick, so it could not have been that much!Tuesday, March 3, 2009

The Cogliano Smurk

This is my Cogliano during the Oilers signing. I took about 12 photos of him in the first minute that I saw him, hoping to get a really great picture. I would have probably taken about 50, but the battery on my Mom's camera died :( Anyway I made Shayne stop by and take a few more for me, but this is the best picture that we got. Half of mine I had to delete. They were all way to blurry from my hands shaking due to the excitement of seeing him in person!
We all had a great time though, and I think that it will become a family tradition!
Shovelling Poll

Yesterday as well as today Shayne and I were having a discussion about shovelling. He thinks that you do not need to shovel everyday if it is still snowing. I think that it needs to be done on a daily basis so that when the snow melts we don't get an ice build up. So I thought, lets ask everyone else. Do you think that it is necesary to shovel everyday?

The Bargain Shopper
When we found out that I got the job, the first thing that I thought of was....well how happy I was and the next thing I thought about was my wardrobe. My weight has been soo sporatic lately. I have now lost the weight that I put on in Vegas and over Christmas. Now I am working on the 28 pounds that I put on during the quitting smoking phase. So I do have a limited wardrobe right now. Shayne and I decided to set a limit of $100.00 for my shopping ( until the job starts rolling). I was so excited and headed out shortly after I got the call. I spent 3-4 hours shopping and I got some great deals ( I lost track of time). I got 3 pairs of pants and 4 shirts all for $100.00. Many of the stores are clearing our their winter stock, so it was so exciting. I was not expecting to get so much for so little. Shhhhhh, I want to go to 2 more stores tomorrow and see what kind of sales they have......your not reading this Shayne are you?Friday, February 20, 2009
The Lucky Folder

I will officially be laid off next week from my Dad's company. I am really thankful for working for him and I am a little sad because I will miss this life that I have been accustomed to.
I started applying for jobs about a month ago and I was really getting worried that this economy might affect me getting a job. I went for an interview last week and then 3 more interviews ( including a 2nd) this week. The job that called me back for the second interview seemed so perfect for me. Everyone there looked so happy to work there and they all had a smile. The interview went really well and I had alot in common with the supervisor. I seemed to be a perfect candidate, although I did not allow myself to get my hopes up. They said that they would be making a decision later that day ( which was Wednesday) or by latest Thursday. I kept very close to the phone for those two days and even used my cell in case they were calling while I was dialing out. But....no call. I was so disappointed and spent alot of time wondering what went wrong in the interview. I was driving Shayne crazy over analyzing EVERYTHING. Then this morning.......I got the call. They offered me the position! I seriously did the happy happy joy joy dance!
Oh...and this folder holds all the luck, maybe we will pass it on to whoever needs luck in an interview.
Parking Downtown Tip
On Thursday I went for an interview downtown and it was in a building by the casino and staples. The lady told me that I should park in the staples parking lot. If you get back to the car before an hour, just go to staples and buy something small and get your ticket stamped. Then you get to park there for free. But...you have to leave the lot before the time is up. After the interview ( that went really well) was over, I rushed to staples and bought some resume paper that we were running out of. So I didn't have to pay for the parking and I got some resume paper.
