Is it.........that season yet?

Everytime we all use that letter to refer to that season, a big blizzard happens. So now it has to be refered to as "that season" !
Tucker loves to lay in the sun on warm days and he will stay on the deck for hours. I just leave him there until he finds a bird or something to bark at! Shayne and I were really surprised this afternoon that he chose to stay outside. It must be warm!

A Blizzard on March 27th?

I rarely watch the news anymore so I was NOT expecting to get up to THIS! I just could not believe that it was blizzarding on March 27....is this ever going to end. I am REALLY tired of this snow. I ask myself once again....why do we live here?

Nail Course

My sister Angie is taking a nail course on the weekends and I got to be her guinea pig. My nails have always been so britle and they break easy, so having the gel nails is going to be great! I am so happy because they have turned out awesome and I get to go back in 3 weeks to have them filled.
Right now Angie is taking massage therapy part time, working part time, raising 3 kids (ages 11, 4, and 3) and now taking a nail course. I don't know how she manages all of this, but I sure am very proud of her.

Beautiful Flowers

On Tuesday Shayne came home with all of these flowers for me. I did not even have a vase big enough to hold them all!! I must have done something right this week!
My favorite flower has always been roses, but I think that my new favorite flower is tulips. Thanks Shayne!

Nicholas' Birth Announcement

I got this beautiful birth announcement in the mail. It's hard to believe that Nicholas is already 1 month old! He's such a doll!

Disgusting Michelina's

Shayne decided to buy some new Michelina's. I looked at the box and thought that this chicken dinner looked pretty good. When I opened the box....this is what I found. Does this look this th picture on the front to you? I thought that maybe it would taste good, so I looked for a piece of chicken to eat. It was actually just a piece of fat with a little chicken on it and it didn't even taste that good! The potatoes were good though, so I ate them. But please, don't ever buy this one!

The Kids

On Friday the 3 kids had a sleepover at my Mom and Dads house. I went over to visit since I hadn't seen them in a really long time. They are getting very big!

My Smart Dog

Its amazing what Tucker will do for a carrot. When we first found out about his allergies, we used carrots and ice cubes for treats so he really thinks that he is getting something really special! I think that this is all of his tricks, did I leave any out Shayne? Normally he catches the carrot in mid air, but he missed this time.

I Am Confused

Tucker is still adjusting to me working, but at least now I don't have a coax him to get out of bed. However, this last Friday was a little different. Shayne does not normally work Fridays, so he was sleeping when I left for work. I just left the dog in bed as I normally do if Shayne is sleeping. I came back into our room to change because I was not happy with my outfit. When I looked at Tucker he was actually standing in his bed waiting for me to let him out and he looked like he was wondering why I didn't let him out! I guess that I am going to have to let him out on Fridays as well!

Fan Appreciation Night

Yesterday we went to the game and it was fan appreciation night. We got all sorts of great prizes. It started off with those blow up sticks that make a loud noise when you hit them together. Then we won a 2 for 1 prime rib dinner at the River Cree Casino restaurant. Then I caught an Oilers t-shirt and then.... on the way out we got a can of coke zero, a pack of rexal band aids and a rexal place chap stick. It would have been a great night if we won...but one point is better than none!

I Love My Parking Pass

I was sooo exctied to get my parking pass. The free parking is about a 10 minute walk away and I hated it because of this weather. It took a little while for me to get it, but worth the wait. I now park about five stalls away from the front of the building. I was very thankful that I had it in the last few days!

Work

This is what I walk through every morning, lunch and evening. I could go up the other staircase and it is faster, but I choose not to. This is one side of the plant area and there is more to the left. There is water in that blue area that houses many very large koi fish. Some of them are named, but I have not gotten a clear answer as to what they are. A couple of them are as big as a small fish that you would catch in the lake and eat. I ALWAYS stop, look and appreciate the beauty. My manager says that in the spring and summer all of the flowers bloom and it is just an outstanding view. There are many exotic flowers like birds of paradise. I wish that I could just pull my computer up here and work!

My Visit with Nicholas

Today after work I stopped at my friend Marzena's house to visit with her and Nicholas. Everybody has seemed to settle in very nicely and she sure looks gleaming as a mother. I held Nicholas the whole time I was there and he was content, alert and awake majority of the time. What a precious little thing!

The Incredible Moon

Amongst all of this terrible weather came something outstandingly beautiful. The moon sort of caught my eye this morning and I had to take a double look. The color was just amazing and it was refreshing to see it and sort of made the weather not seem so bad!

Digital Photo Frame

This is my new digital photo frame for work. Shayne added 512MB to it so I can store many photos at full size. I have quite a few loaded and it just flips through them about every 45 seconds. What are they going to think of next? I would love to get a BIG one and put it on the wall in our house.

Not So Great Chap Stick

From all this bad weather we have been having, my lips were very dry. I decided that I would bring some chap stick to work. Throughout the day I periodically put my chap stick on and it did not seem to be working. It also had this really "wet" feeling. At the end of the day I took a closer look and guess what it is? Nail and cuticle butter!

Why Do We Live Here Again?

I am not one to complain much about shovelling, but I was groaning more about it than Shayne was. I cannot believe it...it is supposed to be +2, not minus 29 overnight. I am thinking about early retirement in Arizona!

Hockey Popcorn

One of my favorite things about a hockey game ( besides my Cogliano, Moreau, and Surray) is the popcorn. I don't know if we have ever went to a game without having it. They now serve butter if you choose, but we never get it...although I would love to! They also have really good nachos, hot dogs and this new poutine style french fries. Nothing there is really healthy, but sometimes it is worth the cheat!

Nicholas

On Thursday February 26, 2009 Nicholas was born in the late afternoon. His mother is my long time friend Marzena ( who gave me the fertility gifts in an earlier post). He was born at 8 pounds 7 ounces (I think) and both of them are happy and healthy. He is just perfect and a blessing!

Don't Turn Your Back.....

We keep Tuckers food in this container to help with freshness. We buy these 4 kg bags and then just refill this container as needed. However, look what happens when you don't pay attention! We are not sure how much he got, but he would eat until it was not physically possible anymore. He didn't get sick, so it could not have been that much!

The "Jason" house

Shayne and I were on the North side of Edmonton getting some hockey rookie cards. On the way we saw this house. I can't believe that houses like this even exist anymore! It was sooo scary and old looking and it reminds me of a house out of a horror show!
