Happy 4th Birthday Lukas

Today we celebrated my Nephews 4th Birthday at Chuck E. Cheese's. It is amazing how fast kids grow up. It seems like yesterday that he was born!
If you ever have to book this place, my recommendation is at 6:00 PM on a Thursday. It was perfect. There was not too many kids there so the noise level was down and Lukas had Chuck E. Cheese all to himself. It was quite comical though because he really did not know what to do all by himself! Also, the pizza was actually decent.
The kids sure love it!

Izabella's 5th Birthday

My sister Angie's daughter Izabella turned 5 on June 30, however we went to Chuck E Cheese on July 2. This is not a place to go if you have a head ache, but the kids sure love it! They all had a blast running around and playing games. Of course I had to try bowling as well. She had this awesome cake that was made out of cupcakes. It was so soft and fresh that I probably could have eaten 3 of them. When I was growing up we went to Bullwinkles for birthdays. I personally think that Bullwinkles is far superior to Chuck E Cheese and it is too bad that they had to shut it down.

The Downtown Adventure

On Saturday we babysat my niece Izabella and nephew Lukas. We told them that we were going some place that you had to wear a bathing suit. They were pretty excited and full of anticipation. Then when we got close Shayne told them that we were going to the Mayors house and that we were going to play in his swimming pool. They were kind of excited and confused at the same time!

I have never been inside City Hall and I did not realize that it is soo beautiful and quiet in there. Lukas kept telling us to whisper because you are "supposed to be quiet in here".

We played in the water for awhile in the morning, but it was a little chilly. The kids were a little nervous about the water and it took a little convincing to get them in. Eventually Lukas loved to play in the fountains. I told him that we were going under the rainbow so that he would let me take him under. Once Izabella got used to it, she was having a blast playing and did not really want to leave. The only reason that she did was because we told her that there was another surprise.

Then we took the kids for a train ride on the LRT. They really enjoyed it and we aslo got to see the new stop. I cannot wait until it goes all the way to Heritage. It is just to bad that there is not a park and ride. We finished off the day at the Ikea park, where they love to play. Truth be told, I would love to play in there if noone was around!

A Great Day

On May 23 Shayne and I babysat my Sisters youngest kids, Izabella and Lukas. We had a great plan to tire them out. We started off as Ikea where there is a play center that they love. Then we took them to McDonald's for ice cream and more playing in one of the best McDonald's parks. Then we went home to watch Monsters Vs. Aliens on the big projector and have some popcorn. The kids LOVE watching anything on the projector. Then we were on our way to meet my Sister in the West End. On the way home they obviously were very tired and I have to say that they were extremely well behaved the entire time that we watched them.

Wii Fit

On Wednesday May 6 I went to Spruce Grove for my Nephew Austins Confirmation rehersal. We had a great supper that Angie made which was turkey hash, gravy, buns and fruit salad for desert. Austin and I met his Uncle Marek at the church and we learned what was expected of us during the ceremony. Things have changed alot since my confirmation, but it is going to be very nice. Then after the rehearsal I hooked the Wii upstairs so that the whole family could play. They had Wii fit and I'll tell you that we all had a great time. That game is so neat and I found out that my "Wii age" is 34. I think that I should practice a little more, I don't need any more years added!

A Girly Girl

My Sister is just completing her nail course and I got to be the guinea pig again. My nails got filled and refinished. I have always wanted to have pretty nails, but we never really had the money to spend on it. I loved them so much that I decided that I needed to learn how to take care of these and buy the proper files so that I can maintain them. Besides, maybe my sister will give me a family discount! Hopefully I stick to this, because they really do look very nice!

Nail Course

My sister Angie is taking a nail course on the weekends and I got to be her guinea pig. My nails have always been so britle and they break easy, so having the gel nails is going to be great! I am so happy because they have turned out awesome and I get to go back in 3 weeks to have them filled.
Right now Angie is taking massage therapy part time, working part time, raising 3 kids (ages 11, 4, and 3) and now taking a nail course. I don't know how she manages all of this, but I sure am very proud of her.

Schanks

On Saturday Shayne and I went to Schanks for Angie's birthday. That place had basketball, bowling, mini golf, air hockey and many other fun activities. We had sooo much fun and we vowed to get an air hockey table downstairs. I just don't know where we would put it!
