Back on Track

Yesterday Shayne and I drove up to Calgary for my next appointment this morning. We stayed in the usual hotel Sandman West Calgary because they give such a great deal for patients. It is a decent hotel and the location is great for us.
The fertility clinic is in transition in changing their location and today was the first day that they were in their new clinic. It was so nice! What made it even better is that we got some positive news. It appears that everything is getting back on track. There are about 10 follicles in each ovary with the biggest being 1.1 mm. We have continued with the same dosage of medicine, however the nurse did also remind me that I am at a higher risk for OHSS. For now I will take whatever good news I can get.

After the appointment we spent a little time in beautiful Canmore. I got a nice relaxing massage which was very much needed! Then we had a great lunch on the patio. The air in Canmore is soo refreshing and rejuvenating. I feel as though the clouds have parted just a little and the sun is starting to shine in again.

Thanks so much Darlene for watching Elyssa. We really appreciate it! Also a special thanks to Shayne for such a good little trip and for all of the support over the last little while, I couldn't have done it without you!

  1. Was some great news to hear. Always nice to spend some time in the fresh mountain air. Rejuvenates the mind, spirit and body it seems.

  2. Sandy I'm so glad to hear all is going so well and anytime you want or need anything please call, email, text, send smoke signals or anything and I'll do whatever I can to help out.

Spending time with Elyssa is one of my favorite ways to spend my time; she's the most precious, cutest, smartest, well behaved child I've ever spent time with, Shayne being an exception until he was about 5 and went to school then the teacher was always right and I all of a sudden didn't seem to know a single thing! lol Right and there was the time he cut up my lotto ticket which was a ten dollar winner, the fist time I'd ever won anything... and come to think of it there was the time he cut up my first ever attempt at string art, and then the time he climbed up on the cupboard and somehow got on top of the fridge where the baby aspirns were and ate about 15 of them and I had to take him to have his stomach pumped... yup, Elyssa IS the most well behaved child I've ever spent time with now that I've really thought about this! lol

I have so much fun with Elyssa, as rejuvenating as the mountains are to you, that's what Elyssa brings into my life, my heart dances and my spirit soars. :-)

I love your photos, the mountains look so inviting and the clinic looks absolutely beautiful!
