I am Thankful for This Invention

One day not to long ago I went to turn on our bathroom fan for a shower. I thought that it was a little quiet, but I did not pay any attention. When I got out of the shower, the mirror was really fogged up and I discovered that our fan was broken. Let me tell you that it is not fun to have your ensuite fan broken because you certainly do not want to leave the door open to air out the room (in certain circumstances)!

We tried to go to Home Depot to find a replacement, but that would have required Shayne to cut the drywall to accommodate it. We just decided that it would be better to phone the company who installed it since it was only 3 1/2 years ago. Apparently they don't make this version anymore, but they did recommend a replacement that should just fit into the hole. Some rewiring would be required, but Shayne knows how to do that.

Finally, after a few weeks of it being broken, Shayne got the fan installed today. I really do appreciate it alot more now!

I Don't Think that We Have Enough

When a friend of mine got pregnant ( Marzena) she decided that it would be a great idea to buy supplies in advance before she went on maternity leave. Shayne and I thought that it would be a great idea, but I never thought that we would actually get around to doing it. Then we came across a good deal at Wal-mart for the type of TP that we like. It was a really great deal, I think it was a package for $7.50. Shayne thought that it would be a good idea to get some and I agreed. I had no idea how much was planning to get. He asked, " So what do you think...10?" I responded by telling him that if he wanted to get 10, he would have to load them and stand in line by himself because I wanted no part of 10 packages! Sure enough he did! We could hardly fit the rest of the groceries in the car! We are going to have to clear a spot in the storage room for these products now!

OMG

This is getting a little real now! Shayne and I went for our first doctors appointment and our first ultrasound. The appointment went as I would expect and I really like my obstritrician. Then we went for the ultasound. This had to be done a little earlier then normal for reasons such as viability, positioning and counting of the heartbeats. I am thankful to report that there is only one heartbeat. In this picture that dark circle is our miracle baby. The heart rate was going strong at 123 beats per minute.
( It is even getting wierd making a new label called "The Baby)

A Nice Visit

A good friend of mine Marzena came over today. It was a really different visit for us because she brought her son with her. Our house is not used to having babies in the house! I guess that we will have to baby proof the house sometime soon! She is such a thoughtful friend and bought us these congratulations flowers, some banana bread and some maternity cloths. It is very nice to talk to someone who has went through the exact same things as you.

Thump

Today we went to the football game. I like to go, but I have a hard time following some of the rules. I understand the basics, but the penalties seem really complicated to pick out. I also really enjoy watching the cheerleaders. It can be scary to watch, as I am afraid that they might get dropped! They always put on a fantastic show. Normally they were much skimpier clothing, but it was retro night tonight.

It always gets exciting when the Esks score a touchdown. These firefighter drive around the whole stadium in a firtruck throwing mini footballs into the crowd. I must say that you should always keep your eyes on them even when they have passed your seat. One time they came by and Shayne was standing up taking a picture, blocking my view of them. I was just waiting patiently for him to sit down so I could see... and... thump. The football hit me right on my eyebrow. Let me tell you that they throw pretty hard! Shayne just grabbed the ball and handed it to the little girl sitting next to me. It was the right thing to do, but maybe a little concern for his wife would have been great!

Its Cake Time

The cake we had we so good and the icing was not that sweet stuff. There was only 2 pieces of cake left and they did not stay very long. Austin and I had cake everywhere, good thing we were camping and it was easy to clean up! I even had cake up my nose!

The night finished off with fireworks and a fire. It was a great weekend and the weather was pretty good. This is the last time that we will be camping this year and next time it will hopefully be with a little one.

Refreshing

My Nephew Austin decided that he wanted to come on the boat, so he just jumped from the Seadoo into the lake and swam to the boat. Eventually all of us got into the lake which was helpful in transferring the little kids from the Seadoo to the boat. Austin and I just stayed in the lake the whole time and had fun playing tag and other games. I was nervous at first but I thought if my 12 year old Nephew isn't scared then I shouldn't be! In this picture my Sister is holding her daughter Belle and Austin and I are in the back. Shayne is on the Seadoo and he was going really REALLY fast. I was scared that he was going to crash!
